Oh I love Skittles!

I loved the pink and black skittle so much I had to do another one tonight...2 posts in one day!
This was so fun, I can see so many more skittles to come! This one is a green and black. I don't do green much but I love it like this.

Pink and Black Skittle

Had some fun messing around with my polishes and decided to switch things up and do a skittle type mani. I'm going to have to do this more often, I love how fun and different they look.

Black and Red Night

I've been playing with red and black polishes tonight. The 1st mani I did was a fishnet inspired one. I smudged it up pretty bad so I redid it but did some silver zebra stripes instead.

Love both of them! I will have to do the fishnet one again soon!

Reversed Chevron

Since I finally learned how to do chevrons in acrylic I have been trying to come up with more color combinations. I did a basic pink and white set but wanted to do something fun on my ring finger. I decided to do the chevron in white, silver and a minty green but do it in a reverse of how I usually do it. I love how it turned out. And it was actually a little bit easier to do it his way!

This design would be fun for Christmas in red, green and white too OR black, orange and purple for Halloween!

Butterfly Wings

I noticed I have a butterfly wing stamping plate and gave it a try. I sponged a blue on the base and did the saran wrap technique to add some lavender.  I am going to have to try some other color combinations, I just love this!

A fun way to give a basic french mani some color!

Tatted Nails Take Two

Need another fun and easy way to do some funky nail art? Temporary tattoos are just what you need! So easy and so fun!

I picked some temp tats at the dollar store and did a white base coat and applied them according to the intructions. Top coat and you are done!

These blue roses ended up looking pretty neat with cordinating blue nails. Can't wait to try some more!

Kiss My Tatted Nails

Hello! Have a fun thing to share this week. I found the coolest nail decals at Wal-Greens the other day. They are the Kiss Nail Tattoos. Now in the past nail decals were a major pain to use but these are so easy to use and they look fantastic! I paired them up with a new polish I bought recently, NYC Fuchia Glamour.

I just love these decals! They only had 3 designs to choose from but these were my favorite. So easy to use!!! Take the plastic sheet off and stick down on the nail and wet the back for 20 seconds and just slide the paper off and top coat! I may have to try the other 2 designs too :)

Wedding Nails!!!

I got to do some wedding nails this week! My neice is getting married tomorrow and I got to do her nails and one of the bridesmaids too. It's a beach theme wedding out at a local lake and I love doing theme nails!

Here are my nails, I just love the little couple kissing on the beach :)

Here's the bride's nails. We did a glow in the dark white acrylic, sponged some blue on the tips and stamped a palm tree on the ring finger.

Here's the bridemaid's nails. We did a gradient of purple, pink and orange acrylic and stamped on some palm trees on her ring fingers and dolphins on her thumbs.

Looking forward to seeing her get married and am hoping there's no rain since it's an outside wedding!!!

Marbled 4th Of July

Changed up my 4th of July nails. I decided to marble some red and blue glitters with a white acrylic. I had some flag nail stickers left over from last year and put them on my ring fingers.

I think these are nice change and are fun for the upcoming holiday. Plus they glow in the dark lol!

Patriotic Nails

One of my favorite things to do are themed nails. I love doing fun holiday nails! I did a set for the 4th of July. I'll probably change them up this weekend with another festive patriotic design.

I just love how these turned out!

True Blood Tribute

Sunday night, the final season of True Blood begins! I have so enjoyed this tv series and the book series too. I will have to admit I loved the first couple of seasons the best but I have enjoyed all of them. I got a lot of my ideas for these nails from Pinterest.

I did a gradient on my pointer finger, a corset on my middle ( that is just so Pam), dripping blood on white on my ring finger and black with red glitter on my thumb and pinkie finger.

Sadly I will have to change these before I go to work Monday but that's ok cause I have some patriotic ones planned next.

I can't wait to see what Sookie, Bill and that oh so handsome Eric will do in this final season!

Have A Nice Day!

Well I was going to do some True Blood themed nails in honor of the series final season starting this Sunday, but somewhere along the way ended up smiley faces! Must say I love them! That Bon Jovi song "Have A Nice Day" has been going through my head since I did them!

I painted them black and stamped with yellow. They are much brighter in person though.

Have A Nice Day! :)

Acid Neon Nails

A couple days ago I tried something I saw on YouTube. It's similar to water marbling but you use one color. You drop your polish into the water, using only one color and then spray rubbing alcohol onto the polish. This creates little holes in the polish. You then dip you finger into it just like you would a water marble.

I sponged some bright neon colors over a white base and then dipped them into black. I would advise tapping the area around your nail before dipping, so you have less mess to clean up. This was a fun and crazy mani and I loved it!

Pacific Blue Watermarble

I love trying to watermarble even though it's not really my friend at times. Sally Hansen polishes seem to work about the best for me. For this one I used Pacific Blue and Coral Reef. Once it dried I topped it off with L.A. Colors Tinsel glitter polish.

I really like how this one turned out!

My Cat Walks All over Me!

Anyone who knows me even a little, knows I'm a cat person. I love my little furbabies so much and they pretty much walk all over me lol! I did this set a couple weeks ago. I did the tip in a bubblegum pink and couldn't decided what else to do to them. After going through my stamping plate collection I found these pawprints and the little kitty.

These are so me!

This is my little buddy Garfield, he likes to read with me lol.

Glitter Glam

I did these nails a few weeks ago. I mixed several glitters in my acrylic powder for the black and used some Martha Stewart neon pink glitter for the tips. Then added some crystals on the thumb and stamped some silver zebra stripes on the ring finger. I just loved how they sparkled!

Tropical Sunset

Sometimes we all need a little getaway. Since I can't go to the tropics, I brought them to me. I used my Martha Stewart Neon glitters and mixed them with some clear acrylic and did a fade in yellow, coral, fuchia and purple. After that I stamped on some palm trees, dolphins and parrots.

I love these glitters! They sparkle so nicely and are such pretty bright colors.

Have a good week :)

More Easter!

I was looking through my old nail pics and found some Easter ones I did last year and one was from a couple years ago.

I think these are from 2 years ago. Acrylic fade and a 3D bunny :)

I did both of these last year. I go through phases where I do polish for awhile and then I switch back to acrylic and stamping. Either way I have fun :)

Easter Egg Time!

It's almost time for the kiddies to go on Easter egg hunts! I had a hard time deciding what to do this year. I've done 3D bunnies in the past but wanted to try something different this year.

I did acrylic chevrons in different colors on each nail excluding my ring nail, on that one I did a solid shimmery white. After that I stamped on zigzag stripes and then did some dots in different colors.

I'm so happy with this set and the fact I have finally learned how to create acrylic chevrons. To those of you that celebrate Easter, I hope you have a nice Holiday!

Chevrons & Flowers

I've been trying to do nice chevrons with my acrylic for a long time and have finally figured out how to do it. I have a feeling this is something I will be doing a lot of in the near future!

I used some nice springy colors of glitter acrylic and then stamped over them with some sweet little white flowers.

I love how they turned out and can't wait to try more color combinations!

Spring is Here!

Spring is officially here! Well, according to the calendar it is. We have a little more snow in our forecast for next week. Since I am in Springy mood I decided to do a Spring inspired set of nails.

I marbled pink, white, light blue and light purple acrylics. I then stamped on some butterflies and some viney looking things.

I am so happy how these turned out, they certainly put me in the mood for some Spring weather!

Feeling Springy

After all the bitterly cold weather we have had here in central Illinois, I'm ready for spring! I finally received the acrylic color I have been lusting after for months! It's an Ezflow color called Hurricane. It's suck a pretty pinkish orangey color. I stamped some pretty white swirls on them.

I'm so ready for spring, 10 more days and counting!

Live , Laugh, Love

So I recently order several more stamping plates and some new acrylic powders. I think Bundle Monster carries some of the best plate designs I have ever seen!

Here's a new acrylic powder from Ezflow, Pink Topaz. I just love the dusty rose shade! I stamped "love" on my thumb and "live, laugh, love" on my ring fingers.

These were just perfect for my date night with my husband :)

More Marbles

After doing the pink and white acrylic marbling I had to try it again in another color. I tried out blue and white and just loved it! I stamped some pretty flowers on my ring finger too.

I can't wait to try out some more combintations when I get my new acrylic powders in! I'm thinking pink and black would pretty cool ;)

My Marbled Valentine

Valentine's is almost here! Here is my last Valentine nail design for this year.

I have wanted to try marbling acylic for sometime but it's kinda tricky. After watching a ton of videos on how to do it, I found one that was super helpful by Sarah Payne. I had to file a couple of them off and redo them cause it made me slightly crazy! After I was finally done I added some stamping.

Not too bad for my first attempt. Maybe next time will easier!

3D Silver Hearts

After a few weeks of only doing nail polishes I changed it up and had some fun with acrylic. I just love using my acrylic molds for making some 3D art.

This is all acrylic. I used a silver glitter acrylic mix I made for the hearts. Think it turned out pretty neat!

You can find a nice assortment of acrylic molds on Amazon or Born Pretty.

Under The Sea

I got some new polishes recently ( I know, huge shocker there lol) and decided that my new glitter polish was perfect for an under the sea mani. I have always wanted to try this and I really love how it turned out.

The little gold figure on my middle finger is an octopus, the flash kinda took him out.

Have a great day!

Falling Hearts

Good afternooon!  I received several cute polishes for Christmas from my bestie and got to use one today. I needed a change from the darker colors I have been wearing the last few days and opted for a pretty lavender. Ofcourse I can't just paint them, I have too add something lol. On my ring finger I stamped some pretty silver hearts from my Bundle Monster plate set.

I wish the picture did it better justice. It's a nice change from all the dark colors and the Christmas stuff. And Valentine's is almost amonth away!

Have a great day!

Bold Gold

So I'm stuck at home because we had a snow storm. So what better to do than paint my nails. Before the snow hit we went and got groceries and I happened to run across Maybelline Color Show in Bold Gold. I had read that this polish stamped extremely well so I gave it a try.

I did a blue and purple gradient using a makeup sponge and over that a gold glitter coat. On the ring finger I did a stamp and the Bold Gold works great!

I can't wait to try it with other designs! Have a great day!
